Celebrating Progress: A Milestone for the Great Wall of Los Angeles
Dear Friends of SPARC,
We are thrilled to share an exciting milestone in our efforts to enhance the Great Wall of Los Angeles!
We are delighted to announce the successful delivery and installation of the new concrete bridge at the Great Wall of Los Angeles! This vital addition connects both sides of the LA River, replacing the former structure. The bridge will serve as a viewing station and interpretative center, allowing visitors to appreciate the longest mural in the world in a whole new way.
To give you a firsthand look at this incredible achievement, we have included a video showing the bridge’s delivery and installation. We hope you enjoy witnessing this significant step forward:
The bridge project is set to be completed by 2028, just in time to enhance this stretch of the LA River during the Summer Olympics. This new bridge will not only provide a functional connection but also offer an enriched experience for all who visit the Great Wall, allowing them to engage more deeply with this monumental work of public art.
We are profoundly grateful for the continued support of our community, which has made this progress possible. Your commitment to our mission enables us to create and maintain transformative public art that connects communities and tells the rich history of Los Angeles.
Thank you for being an integral part of our journey. We look forward to sharing more updates as we continue to make strides towards completing the Great Wall of LA bridge.
Warm regards,
Judy Baca
