First Chicano artist to receive a Fulbright Scholarship, 1964-65, de la Sota’s engaged explorations into the spiritual aspects of Mexican and Chicano folk and mythic imagery though fine arts media over the last 35 years triggers thought provoking appreciation for the relationship between the artist and his subject.
