Join us for a lecture with Mercedes Gertz!

October 12, 2019 @ 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM PDT

Join us in the Durón Gallery on Saturday, October 12th from 5-7 PM for a lecture and conversation with Mercedes Gertz, the artist behind our current exhibition, Down the Rabbit Hole. She will discuss the works on view and her approach to art-making and collaboration.
Mercedes Gertz works in Mexico City, California, and Switzerland. Her interest in art as a language has informed her artistic practice and community work. Gertz currently has a PhD in the study of Depth Psychology. Her focus is on the study of dreams and Fairy Tales as the symbolic language that articulates what words fail to express. Her paintings, conceptual installations, and graphic art have been exhibited in Mexico, the United States, and Europe.

This event is free and open to the public. Light refreshments will be served.
