Volunteer Spotlight: Gary McKee
This month, we shine a spotlight on Gary McKee.
SPARC volunteer Gary McKee has guided more than a dozen school groups through visits to the Great Wall mural in the past year, applying his theatrical talents and love for storytelling in his role as tour guide. Gary loves to bring the stories of the mural to life, sharing the many ways the mural inspires us to learn more about remarkable people and events from the past that would otherwise be in danger of being forgotten. Gary has grown up around the Great Wall, helping to connect people with the mural and caring for the surrounding park site since he was a teenager himself.
